Peak District Gateway

Nothing beckons you to explore the countryside more than an inviting gateway leading towards an outstanding view. The Peak District has so many stunning places which feel unexplored, it sometimes feels to me like I'm the only person to have discovered them. Love that feeling!

How the piece came about

I'm a geek. I'm a lover of nature and the world around us. That's why I love the different shapes of drystone walls in the countryside. Some straight, some wobbly, some collapsed and some still standing after hundreds of years in the same place. No cement, just the skill of balance (like countryside Jenga!). I love seeing how they have weathered, different colours on the stone.
